Description
20 and 22 Drayton Road are two houses built in the early to mid-18th century. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and feature thatch roofs. No. 20 originally had a two-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a three-window range of 19th and 20th century casement windows beneath eyebrow dormers on the first floor and wooden lintels on the ground floor. There is a 20th century porch located to the right of the centre and a central brick chimney stack. No. 22, which is attached to the right and originally had a one-unit plan, is a single storey with an attic and has a one-window range of casement windows under wooden lintels. The entrance to No. 20 is through the side porch. Although the interiors were not inspected, No. 22 is noted to have ceiling beams and an open fireplace.
