Description

Sunny Bank consists of two houses built in the early to mid-18th century. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and topped with a thatch roof. Originally, each house had a one-unit plan and they stand two storeys high, forming an irregular three-window range. No. 37 features leaded casements, while No. 39 has a casement with glazing bars on the ground floor, all set under wood lintels. There are 19th-century plank doors at both ends, also under wood lintels. The buildings have a chamfered plinth, ashlar gable parapets, and a rebuilt central brick stack. Although the interiors were not inspected, they likely contain open fireplaces that have since been blocked. Notably, No. 39 has 18th-century two-panelled doors.
