Description
Nos. 56, 58, and 60 on Drayton Road are a house that has been converted into three dwellings. They date from the early to mid-18th century and were altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has a Collyweston slate roof. Originally, it had a three-unit plan and is two storeys high with an attic.
The front features a four-window range of casements with glazing bars set under wood lintels. The window on the first floor far left is a 20th-century replacement. There are three doors between the windows, all of which have 19th-century lattice porches. Nos. 56 and 60 have six-panel doors with glazed toplights, while No. 58 has a 19th-century four-panel door. There are brick stacks at the ridge and end of the building. The rear has 19th-century extensions. It is likely that the property was converted from a single house into three dwellings in the 19th century by the Drayton estate. The interiors have not been inspected.
