Description
This is a house located at 11 Stamford Road, dating from the early 18th century, with a datestone marking the year 1794. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar and features an artificial stone slate roof. It was originally designed with a two-unit plan and has two storeys plus an attic. The front has a two-window range of 20th-century casements set in original openings, which are topped with stone lintels that have keyblocks. There is a blocked door to the left of the center. The house has a gambrel roof with two gabled roof dormers, and the gable parapets and stacks are made of ashlar with moulded cornices at the ridge and ends. The right gable shows signs of an early 18th-century roofline. Although the interior has not been inspected, it likely originally featured a lobby entry plan with open fireplaces.
