Description
Aldwincle Baptist Church is a Baptist church built around 1823. It is constructed of red brick and has a slate roof. The church is a single-unit chapel that includes a vestibule and a gallery. The main front features a two-storey facade with a three-window arrangement of sash windows, which have glazing bars and are set under shallow brick arches. The central window on the first floor is blind. There are central panelled double doors with a decorative overlight, also beneath a shallow brick arch. The roof is hipped, and the side elevations mirror the two-window arrangement found at the front. Inside, there is a gallery with a panelled front, and the staircase has a stick balustrade. The pulpit is also panelled. The church contains various 19th-century memorials, with the earliest inscribed tablet dated 1826.
