Description
This is a house located on the west side of Main Street in Aldwinckle, dating from the mid-to-late 18th century. It was originally designed with a 2-unit plan. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone, with a roof of 20th-century plain tiles. It has two storeys and a two-window facade, featuring casement windows fitted with glazing bars and set beneath wooden lintels. A 19th-century plank front door, also beneath a wooden lintel and protected by a 20th-century hood, is centrally positioned. Ashlar quoins are visible, and the ends of the building have brick and stone stacks. Raised eaves are noticeable, indicating a later alteration. The interior has not been inspected. The building is listed for its group value.
