Description

Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings, and has a 20th-century plain-tile roof. The building is arranged in an L-shape. The main front of the building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window arrangement of tripartite sash windows with glazing bars. The first-floor centre window is a matching single sash. All windows are topped with gauged stone heads. A central four-panel door, with a rectangular fanlight above, is also set beneath a gauged stone head. Ashlar stacks, partly rebuilt in brick, stand at the ends of the building. A two-window range to the rear has a lower eaves line and one leaded casement window beneath a wooden lintel. The interior retains features including spine beams with run-out stops, panelled window reveals, and a staircase with a broad stick balustrade.
