Description
Bethesda Chapel is a Baptist church built in 1813 and enlarged in 1836, with an entrance and hall added in 1966 and gallery alterations made in 1978. The building is constructed of brick and has a roof covered with black-glazed pantiles and slate. It is two storeys high. The entrance is located on the north side and features two gabled porches with six-panelled double-leaf doors. Above the doors are two windows with glazing bars and a central plaque commemorating the building. The east side includes the entrance and hall, while the main windows on the ground floor have been replaced with 20th-century versions, and the upper floor windows are made of uPVC. The west facade has a secondary entrance and replaced 20th-century windows with glazing bars. There are two external stacks on the south flank, and the roof is hipped.
Inside, there are galleries on the east, west, and south sides, supported by timber pillars, and a timber-panelled balcony.
