Description

This is an early 18th-century timber-framed house, which was later re-faced with brick up to the first-floor level in the early 19th century. The exterior is colourwashed and the roof is slate-covered. The house is two storeys high and has a four-window front. The left-hand bay features a square carriage entrance beneath an 8/8 sash window. The remaining three bays are symmetrical, with the central bay projecting slightly and the sides featuring clasping pilaster strips. The central bay contains a six-panelled door with panelled reveals and a five-vaned fanlight. To the right of the door is an 8/8 sash window, and to the left a 6/6 sash window, both set under segmental arches. The first floor has three 3/3 sash windows. The roof is hipped, with two red brick stacks on the rear slope. Within the carriage passage, there is a glazed 9-panelled door with two unglazed panels below a four-vaned fanlight.
