Description
No. 88 Bury Street is an early 19th-century house built of brick with a plain tile roof. It has a lobby entrance plan and stands two storeys tall with a four-window front on a plinth course. The entrance features a three-panelled door, positioned left of centre, with the upper two panels glazed and a doorcase topped with a pediment. To the right of the doorway are two early 19th-century tripartite sash windows with 2/2 glazing bars, and one similar window to the left. The windows are adorned with gauged skewback arches and there is a platband between the floors. The first floor has four similar sash windows, with the one above the door being narrower. The house has a modillion eaves cornice beneath a gabled roof, which has a ridge stack located over the door. There is a 20th-century rear extension.
