Description

26 Bury Street is a mid-18th century house featuring a pebbledashed timber frame and a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a dormer attic, with a two-window front and a brick plinth. It follows a lobby entrance plan, with a central half-glazed 19th-century door set in a simple doorcase beneath a hood supported by scrolled consoles. To the right and left of the door are replaced 2/2 horned sash windows within 18th-century flush frames. There is a panelled door with an overlight located at the extreme left. On the first floor, there are two 6/6 18th-century sash windows, also in flush frames. The gabled roof features two 20th-century sloping dormers and a ridge stack positioned above the door.
