Description
No. 27 Bury Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features a roughcast timber frame beneath a roof made of slate and pantiles. The building has two storeys and a two-window front. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled fielded door, with the upper two panels glazed. This door is framed by a reeded doorcase that has roundels in the top corners. On either side of the door, there is a horned 20th-century sash window with 8/8 glazing bars, and above, there are two identical sashes on the first floor. The roof is hipped, and there is a red brick stack that is partly external on the south slope, along with an internal stack on the north slope. The returns of the building are also fitted with 20th-century sashes.
