Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 10 meters northeast of the Market Cross in Kings Cliffe, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has a slate roof. The building has a one-unit plan and is single storey, originally designed with a loft. The gable end features a one-window range with a casement window under a wooden lintel at the ground floor, and a blocked opening to the left, also with a wooden lintel. To the right, there is a six-panel door with glazed toplights, situated under a wooden lintel. A brick stack is located at the end of the building. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer and some 18th-century roof structure. This outbuilding is included for its group value.
