Description
No. 4 Bridge Street is a house dating from the early 18th century to the 19th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone with a painted facade and a Collyweston slate roof. The original layout was a three-unit plan, and the building has two storeys. The front features a three-window range of leaded casements on the first floor, which are positioned under the eaves and have wood lintels. There are two early 19th-century canted bay windows with flat roofs located in the centre and on the left side. To the right, there is a 19th-century canted shop window with a central part-glazed door. A six-panel door is situated to the left of centre, also under a wood lintel. The right side has an ashlar gable parapet, and there are stone stacks at the ridge and end of the roof. Attached at right angles to the rear is Dr. Law's Chapel. The interior has not been inspected.
