Description

Market Cross is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally had a three-unit plan and has two storeys. The front has a three-window range of 19th-century casement windows set beneath wooden lintels. There is a central canted bay window from the early 19th century, which also has casements and a slated roof. To the right of the centre, there is a 20th-century window on the first floor and a 20th-century door, which is located under a wooden lintel. The house has stone stacks at both the ridge and the end. The interior has not been inspected.
