Description
This is a dovecote located approximately 20 meters east of Hill House, likely built in the mid-18th century. It features squared coursed ironstone and brick, along with close studded timber framing that has lattice and plaster infill, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The structure has a square plan and stands two stories tall. There is a blocked cart entrance on the ground floor with a brick lintel, while the first floor is timber framed with stone gable ends and has an entrance on the left. The roof is gabled and of 20th-century design, and there is a blocked window in the right gable. Inside, the dovecote retains its original timber and reed floor construction, and the gable walls contain nesting boxes that are partially lined with brick.
