Description
This is a row of three houses located at 50, 52, and 54 Main Street, built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. The houses are constructed from squared coursed ironstone and feature slate and concrete tile roofs. They have a two-unit plan, with 50 and 54 designed as terrace-type houses. The buildings are two storeys high and together form a seven-window range.
Houses 50 and 52 have sash windows with glazing bars, which are set under wooden lintels on the first floor and have gauged stone heads at the ground floor. House 54 features casement windows with glazing bars, also under wooden lintels. There are 20th-century doors located between the window ranges, which are set under gauged stone heads and wooden lintels. A carriage arch is positioned to the right of the center, featuring a segmental arch head. The ends of the row have ashlar gable parapets, and there are brick stacks located at the ridge and ends. The interiors have not been inspected.
