Description

No. 21 Main Street is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a slate roof with an L-shaped plan. The building has two storeys and an attic, with the main front displaying a three-window arrangement of cross casements that have glazing bars and are set under stone lintels with keyblocks. There is a blocked door opening to the left of the centre. The house features a pair of hipped roof dormers, ashlar gable parapets, and brick stacks at both ends. On the left side, there is a tablet with an oval inscription panel. The left elevation has 20th-century casements in the original openings, also with stone lintels and keyblocks. A 20th-century entrance is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to have ceiling beams.
