Description
No. 20 Church Lane is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ironstone bands and features a roof made of pantiles and 20th-century interlocking concrete tiles. The gables have been rebuilt, and there are stone stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and a five-window range facing south. It has a plinth and ironstone quoins, with a central board door that includes an overlight and a wooden lintel. The windows are small-paned cross casements, although the central window on the first floor has been blocked. There are lean-to additions on the side, partly made of brick, and at the rear, which has a tall brick stack. The interior has only been partly inspected but is believed to have been altered over time.
