Description
No. 12 Duck End is a cottage that may have been converted from an outbuilding. It dates from the 17th or 18th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with some ironstone, topped by a slate roof featuring a coped right gable and 20th-century brick end stacks. It is one storey high with an attic and has a three-window range. The central entrance is a 20th-century door, with a three-light small-paned casement window to the right and a 20th-century window to the left, all supported by wooden lintels. On the first floor, there is a central two-light window flanked by three-light half-dormer windows with coped gables. The interior has not been inspected. This cottage is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
