Description
Vine House is a house located on Middleton Main Street, dating from the mid-18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is set under a stone lintel with a keyblock. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, including a narrow window in the centre of the first floor, all positioned under stone lintels with keyblocks. There are three flat-roofed dormers and ashlar gable parapets. Brick stacks are located at the ridge and ends of the house. A plain tablet is found on the right gable, and there is a 19th-century range at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
