Description

Number 19 and the attached barn to the west is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has a slate roof. The house originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic. The front features a three-window range of unhorned sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath gauged stone heads. There is a central 19th-century three-panel door with a fanlight above and a flat hood covering it.

To the right, there is a two-storey, one-window range from the late 18th century, which is set back from the original three bays and designed in a similar style. The building has a chamfered plinth and ashlar gable parapets, along with a central flat-topped roof dormer that contains a casement window. Brick stacks are located at both ends of the house.

The rear elevation features a mid-19th-century wing that is attached at right angles to the main house, connecting to an early 19th-century barn. The barn is also made of squared coursed limestone and has a slate roof. It has a modified central cart entrance flanked by slit vents, and ashlar gable parapets. The gable end of the barn includes additional slit vents. Inside the house, there is a late 18th-century staircase with a stick balustrade and several two-panel doors.
