Description
Number 10 and the attached barn is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone with a thatched roof and features brick end and ridge stacks. The building is arranged in an L-plan and has two storeys. The principal range faces the street and includes a front door set within a 20th-century gabled porch, flanked by three-light casement windows. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casement windows. The return wing has one 2-light casement window on both the ground and first floors, along with a plank door with a timber lintel located to the left of the gable end facing the street, and a three-light shop window to the right. A 2-light leaded window is present on the first floor. All windows are fitted with timber lintels, and the building features quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. To the right side of the projecting wing, there is a barn that includes a carriageway with a timber wheel in the roof. Inside, the property has stop-chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
