Description

No. 36 Banbury Lane is an early 18th-century cottage constructed from coursed squared ironstone with a thatched roof and brick end stacks. The building has an L-plan layout and consists of one storey and an attic. The front facing Banbury Lane features a four-panel door topped by a segmental timber hood supported by brackets, which is accessed by three stone steps with an iron handrail. To the right, there is a 20th-century canted bay window with a hipped tile roof, and above it, a four-pane horned sash window. The gable has plain bargeboards and quoins, while the right side facing Bell Lane has a three-light 20th-century casement window with a timber lintel.
