Description
Number 45 and the attached barn are a house and barn built in the late 18th century. The structure is made of brick and has a slate roof, featuring a three-unit plan. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range of horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars on the first floor, and casements on the ground floor, all set beneath plain arches. To the right of the centre, there is a six-panelled door with a moulded architrave and a flat hood above it. The building has brick stacks at the ridge and at the end. The rear is similar to the front, with the barn attached to the right, which has part cob walls. There is a pump in wooden casing attached to the rear elevation. Inside, the property features chamfered and stopped ceiling beams, an open fireplace with a bressumer in the centre room, and flanking cupboards that have fielded panelled doors.
