Description
The Manor House is a manor house dating from 1664. It is constructed of squared coursed lias and brick, topped with a slate roof. The building originally had a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The flanking windows are five-light canted bays featuring stone mullion windows on both the ground and first floors, which have leaded lights. To the left of the centre, there is a ribbed door with a moulded stone surround and a four-centred head. To the right of the door, there is a three-light stone mullion window, and above it, two two-light stone mullion windows are situated with a datestone and an armorial tablet between them. The central portion of the facade is brick, indicating some remodelling. The roof is both hipped and gabled, featuring two octagonal brick chimneys at the ridge. There are 19th and 20th-century extensions at the rear, and a fire insurance plate is located on the left bay.
