Description

Plum Tree Cottage is a house dating from 1712, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The original structure features a single unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The front has a two-window range of casements under gauged brick arches; the left windows include transoms and some leaded lights. There is an ashlar string course between the floors, and the right gable has an ashlar parapet and kneelers, with a brick stack at the end. The datestone is located in the right gable. There is a 19th-century extension on the left side.
