Description
Bull Hill House is a late 17th and early 18th century house, extended in the mid to late 19th century. A probable 18th century barn was converted in the 20th century and is now incorporated into the house. The house is constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble with wooden lintels, and has artificial stone-slate roofs, stone gable stacks. The original house has a 3-unit plan, with a later extension and a 5-bay barn linked to it. The front facade features a 3-window arrangement of tall leaded casements with shorter iron opening lights. A later section to the right has sash windows and a canted bay window. The barn section has a blocked entry positioned to the right of centre. The steeply pitched roofs have gable parapets, and the left gable of the original range suggests a steeper roof line previously existed. The rear elevation, which now contains the main entrance, is partially obscured by 20th century additions. The interior has not been inspected.
