Description
Brookside Cottage is a house that likely used to be subdivided, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a concrete plain-tile roof with rubble gable stacks. The building has a two-unit or two single-unit plan with an added unit and stands two storeys high. The front of the main range is irregular with two windows, featuring three-light casements on the first floor and two- and three-light casements on the ground floor, along with adjoining doorways, one of which is now blocked and has a heavy chamfered lintel. An added bay to the left also contains renewed casements. The steep-pitched roof is raised at the eaves and has stacks on either side of the main section. The interior has not been inspected.
