Description
The Bozeat War Memorial is located in the village cemetery alongside the main footpath. It stands approximately 3.5 meters tall and consists of a Weldon limestone obelisk set on a square plinth, which is positioned on a shallow two-stage base. The memorial is placed on a small square area of paving, where small flower holders have been arranged.
On the front of the plinth, there is a grey marble panel inscribed with the words "SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS VILLAGE WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR, 1914 - 1918." The names of those who fell are listed on similar panels located on the sides of the plinth.
At the base of the obelisk, there is an inset marble panel inscribed with "SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS VILLAGE WHO FELL IN THE WAR, 1939 - 1945." The names of those who fell in the Second World War are displayed on side panels around the base of the obelisk.
The small flower holders surrounding the war memorial are not considered to be of special interest.
