Description

Manor Farmhouse is a mid-17th century and 19th century farmhouse located in Dychurch Lane, Bozeat. It is constructed of regular coursed limestone with an original plain-tile roof. Originally, the house had a 4-unit plan. It is two storeys high with a 6-window front, featuring 19th century casement windows under wooden lintels. There are two 19th century panelled doors, also under wooden lintels, positioned between the window ranges. Brick and stone stacks are located at the ends of the building. A fire insurance plaque is visible on the right-hand side. The rear of the farmhouse includes a large, laterally projecting stack and a 19th century kitchen extension. The interior contains an open fireplace with a bressumer, spine beams with run-out stops, some panelled window reveals, and an early 19th century staircase with a stick balustrade.
