Description

This building, originally a public house and now a house, dates to 1743, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a plain-tile roof. The building was originally planned with three units and has two storeys plus an attic. The front elevation features a three-window arrangement. The first floor has leaded casement windows, while the ground floor to the right has two casement windows with glazing bars, all set beneath wooden lintels. A wooden oriel window is situated on the ground floor to the left. A 20th-century door is located to the left of the centre, set within a wooden porch with two flights of steps leading up to it. A cellar door is positioned to the far right. A datestone sits above the porch, and a sign bracket is located to the right. The building has ashlar gable parapets. The interior remains uninspected. This was formerly the Lord Nelson public house.
