Description

Burnt Close is a house located on Church Walk in Bozeat, dating from the mid-18th century and the 19th century. It is constructed of limestone, which has been stuccoed, and features original plain-tile and slate roofs. The house originally had a two-unit plan and consists of two storeys. The front has a three-window range of 19th and 20th century casement windows, with a central 20th century door that has a flat hood above it. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and kneelers, with brick and stone stacks at either end. Attached to the left is a similar two-storey, two-window range from the 19th century. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have a 19th century staircase with a broad stick balustrade.
