Description
Green End is a 17th-century house that has been altered and extended. The right two bays feature a timber frame with whitewashed rendered infill on the first floor, while the ground floor and the left bay have been rebuilt, also rendered and whitewashed. The house has an old tile roof that is half-hipped to the right, with a pair of thin brick chimney shafts positioned between the left bays. It is two storeys high with three bays. On the first floor, there are four paired barred wooden casements, and another casement on the ground floor to the left. The remainder of the ground floor is irregular, featuring a similar 20th-century three-light casement in the center and a sash window to the right. There are also 20th-century French doors aligned with the chimney and a half-glazed door between the right bays. The house now includes a small former barn on the right, which is rendered and whitewashed at the front, has weatherboarding on the right gable, and an old tile roof. This barn also features 20th-century French doors and a window. At the rear, there is a lean-to and two small 19th-century gabled extensions made of flint and brick, part rendered and whitewashed. Inside, the house displays timber framing with diagonal braces, stop-chamfered spine beams, and queen strut trusses.
