Description

This is a 17th-century house, altered subsequently. It is timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill and a high-coursed rubble stone plinth. The right bay is a later addition, constructed with dressed rubble stone at ground floor level and whitewashed brick with a first-floor band course above. The roof is thatched, with rebuilt brick chimneys between the outer bays. The house is 1½ storeys high, with four bays. There are three-light wooden casements; those on the ground floor of the timber-framed bays have single horizontal glazing bars and 20th-century minimal board hoods, while the remainder are barred. First-floor windows are set into the thatch. A small, single-barred casement is located in the centre below the eaves. There are two board doors to the rear, also with minimal hoods.
