House and shop. C16, altered C17 and later. Timber frame with brick infill, the front rendered. Old tile roof, brick chimneys to centre and right. 2 storeys, 4 irregular bays, the left gabled to street and slightly projecting. Jettied first floor to centre bays. First floor has 3-light wooden casements. Ground floor has C20 shop front in left bay, canted bay windows to centre bays, and later 3-light barred wooden casement to right. Central 4-panelled door in architrave frame. Interior: wide bay to right of centre has moulded cross beams, stop-chamfered joists, and inserted fireplace. Main tie beam in room above is cambered and chamfered. Chamfered main posts with heavy jowls. RCHM II p. 326-7, Mon.9.
