Description
Old Timbers is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, including some herringbone patterns. The right bay has whitewashed brick, and there is a one-bay extension to the left. The main bays have a thatched roof, while the extension has a tiled roof. There are three intermediate brick chimneys, with the one between the right-hand bays made of 17th-century brick. The house is 1½ storeys high and consists of four bays plus the extension. The two right bays are older and include diagonal braces. The three bays on the right have 20th-century three-light casement windows, with thatch eyebrows above the first-floor windows. The left bay features a 19th-century three-light casement and a 20th-century single-light casement on the ground floor. The extension has a three-light leaded casement window on the first floor. A four-panelled door is located between the right-hand bays, set in a wooden surround with a flat cornice hood supported by moulded scroll brackets.
