Description
Wards is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, including some herringbone patterns, while the end walls have been rebuilt in whitewashed brick. The roof is half-hipped and covered with old tiles. There are whitewashed brick chimneys located on the left and at the center of the front. The house has two storeys and an attic, with three main bays. The windows are irregular wooden casements, including four 2-light windows on the first floor, with the left one being old and partly leaded. The ground floor has one 2-light window, two single lights, and one leaded casement. There are two hipped dormers with paired wooden casements, and additional attic windows are located in a small roof spur behind the central chimney. The entrance features a flush-panelled door with a 20th-century gabled timber porch in the left bay. There are also 20th-century extensions set back to the right.
