Description
The Old Post House is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with rendered infill at the front and whitewashed plaster infill on the left gable. The right gable has been rebuilt with a decorative half-timbering effect. The house has a slate roof and brick chimneys on either side. It is two storeys tall with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are wooden casements with bars, and there are canted bay windows in the outer ground floor bays. Above these, there are three-light windows, and the dormers have paired lights. The centre bay on the first floor has paired lights above a four-panelled door, which is flanked by minimal wooden pilaster strips, a wooden panel frieze, and a small cornice.
