Description

This is a house, likely dating to the late 18th and 19th centuries, and representing a remodelling of an earlier building. The front and left gable are colourwashed brick, the right gable is red brick with a blue diaper pattern, and the base is rubble stone. The roof is thatched, featuring a 20th-century brick chimney between the left bays. The two-and-a-half storey house has three bays. It features three-light leaded casement windows on the ground floor, with the left window having a segmental head. The first floor has paired casement windows set into the thatch, the right-hand ones being leaded. A board door is located at the rear. Rear extensions, of brick and tile and in an L-shape, have been added in the 20th century. Internally, timber-framed partition walls remain. The house maintains an important visual connection between the green and the street.
