Description

Tudor Cottage is a small house dating to the 17th century. It is timber-framed with curved and diagonal braces, and the exterior walls are filled with whitewashed plaster and a rendered plinth. The roof is thatched and half-hipped, with a central brick chimney. The house has one and a half storeys and two bays. The ground floor windows are modern three-light wooden casements. Above them, three-light leaded casements are set into the thatch. A central lobby provides entry, with a ledged twentieth-century door. A lean-to addition to the left has a two-light window with a segmental head and one leaded pane. Inside, a ground-floor room on the left has a massive spine beam with stop-chamfered joists and run-out stops.
