Description

This small house dates from the 17th century. It is timber-framed with a rendered plinth and whitewashed brick infill. The right gable wall displays curved braces. It has a half-hipped thatched roof with boarded eaves supported by wooden brackets, and a central brick chimney. The house is of one-and-a-half storeys and two bays. The ground floor has 20th-century barred wooden casements; a three-light window to the left and a two-light window to the right. The first floor has three-light leaded casements set within the thatch. The central entrance has a 20th-century panelled door within a 19th-century wooden surround featuring panelled pilaster strips and a small cornice hood held up by cut brackets. A weatherboard lean-to is attached to the right. Small timber-framed outshots are located at the rear of the property, one at each end, with a 20th-century extension in the centre. Inside, a room on the first floor to the right has plain panelling.
