Description
Old Timbers is a small house dating from the 17th century. It has a timber frame with curved and diagonal braces on the first floor, while the ground floor is made of whitewashed brick with infill above. The house features a thatched roof, although the chimney stack has been removed. It stands two storeys high and consists of two bays. The ground floor has an irregular arrangement of three windows, including two three-light windows and one two-light window on the left, and a single barred window on the right. The first floor has paired windows. There is a 20th-century door with a thatched hood to the right. Attached to the left is a half-timbered outbuilding with a corrugated iron roof, which is not of special interest. Inside the house, there are massive chamfered spine beams and stop-chamfered joists.
