Description

This large barn, located between numbers 7 and 9 on Little Horwood Road, dates back to the 17th century but has 20th-century cladding. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with weatherboarding added in the 20th century and a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn is designed in an L-shape, with four bays facing the road and three bays in a rear wing that is at right angles to the main structure. There is a 20th-century cart entry in the center of the rear wing on the east side, while the rest of the barn has boarded stable doors and barred fanlight casements. The roof is supported by queen strut trusses with large curved wind-braces.
