Description
No. 5 Nash Road is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. The building features an exposed timber frame on the right gable and at the rear, with brick infill and a rubble stone plinth. The first floor and upper gable are covered with weatherboarding. The south front was rebuilt in brick in the late 19th century. It has a half-hipped roof covered with asbestos slate and two intermediate brick chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The front includes 20th-century paired barred wooden casements, with segmental heads on the ground floor. There are 20th-century doors to the left and between the left-hand bays, along with small 20th-century extensions at both ends. The rear features 2-light leaded casements, except for a barred wooden casement in the lower left. The roof structure includes queen struts.
