Description

The Rectory is a house that was formerly a rectory, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, with the south front covered in colourwashed render. The building features a hipped slate roof with deep boarded eaves supported by paired cut wooden brackets, and a brick chimney. It has two storeys and a west front that consists of four bays, which contain barred sash windows with narrower outer panes and cambered brick heads. The third bay features a wide six-panelled door, flanked by reeded pilaster strips and roundels at the top corners, all slightly recessed. Above the door is a fine semi-circular fanlight with a central circle and flanking drop motifs in the glazing. The south front has two bays, each with a recessed segmental arch and similar sash windows.
