Description
Garryboy is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century. The three bays closest to the road feature a timber frame with diagonal braces, whitewashed brick and plaster infill, and a stone and brick plinth. The third bay has been partially refronted in whitewashed brick. There is a similar two-bay brick extension to the north. The entire structure has a thatched roof and a brick stack located south of the center. The east front has paired barred casements in the three central bays, with those on the first floor covered by thatch. The ground floor has two barred casements on the right with segmental heads, while the end bays have single barred casements on the ground floor only. The lobby entry includes a 20th-century whitewashed brick porch with a segmental roof, and there is another entry with a 20th-century door in the right-hand bay. Additionally, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension with a flat roof to the right.
