Description
Nos. 98 and 100 on Vicarage Road are a house and cottage dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with some alterations. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill, while the ground floor has been rebuilt in brick. The left gable is painted black, and the roof is covered with old tiles, hipped to the left. There is an 18th-century brick chimney on the right side of the third bay and a 20th-century brick chimney on the left. The building is two storeys high with four bays. It has wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars, including three 3-light windows on each floor, two 2-light windows on the ground floor in the left bay and center, and a single light window on the first floor of the third bay. There are board doors in two bays to the right, and a lean-to at the left end features a 3-light casement. The rear of the building also has a lean-to.
