Description

Nos. 11 and 12 on West Street are a house that was formerly two cottages, dating from the 17th century. The building features a timber frame with some 20th-century renovations. The frame is exposed, with brick infill and some plaster fill, while the rear walls are made of painted brickwork, rendering, and tile-hanging. The roof is tiled and half-hipped at the cross wing, with sloping roofs for the dormers. The house is three bays wide with a crosswing at the north end. The east front elevation has one storey and an attic, with two storeys and four windows above. The windows are 20th-century casements, including two splayed bays, and there is a plain doorway.
