Description

Numbers 1 and 2, The Green comprise two cottages. Number 1 is a timber-framed building with exposed posts to the rear, which was refronted around the 18th century. The front of Number 1 is faced with Flemish bond brickwork, while Number 2 is wholly brick. Both cottages have tiled roofs and three brick chimney stacks, one situated at the joint between the two properties, which may be original. The cottages are two storeys high with a three-window facade. Number 1 has mainly 16-pane casement windows, with a large 20th-century penticed window on the ground floor. Number 2 has a four-paned door. The rear elevation features casement windows and brick lean-to extensions to Number 1.
